BowlsBase User Guide

Welcome to BowlsBase - the modern club management platform designed specifically for bowls clubs.

Whether you are a club member, secretary, competition secretary, captain or administrator, BowlsBase has been designed to make club administration simple, efficient and accessible from any device.

From managing competitions and booking rinks to viewing fixtures and keeping in touch with fellow members, everything you need is available in one secure cloud-based system.

Getting Started

Logging In

To access BowlsBase, open your club's BowlsBase website and select Member Login.

Enter:

• Your registered email address
• Your password

When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to create a secure password.

If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgotten Password option or contact your club administrator.

Home Dashboard

After logging in, you will arrive at your personalised dashboard.

From here you can quickly access:

• Upcoming competitions
• Friendly matches
• Rink bookings
• Club calendar
• Recent results
• Member directory

The dashboard provides an overview of everything that is happening within your club.

Competitions

BowlsBase makes competition management simple.

Members can:

• View competition draws
• See who they are playing
• Check match deadlines
• Enter results
• Follow their progress through the competition

Once a result is entered, the competition draw is automatically updated.

Participant Activity Search (Admin)

Club admins can search for a member and see every active competition they are still in.

The report shows:

• Competition name
• Current stage (for example Quarter Final)
• Games played
• Walkovers (W/O's)
• Byes (BYE's)

Example: Simon Lewis - Mens Singles - Quarter Final - Games Played - W/O's - BYE's.

League Management

The League section allows members to:

• View league fixtures
• Enter league results
• See current league tables
• View previous results
• Track league standings throughout the season

Friendlies

The Friendlies page helps clubs organise friendly matches more efficiently.

Members can:

• View upcoming fixtures
• Confirm availability
• See selected teams
• View match details
• Find venue information

Captains and selectors can quickly identify available players.

Draw & Bracket Option

When locking a friendly team, selectors can choose whether to generate a draw and bracket.

• If Create draw & bracket is ticked, BowlsBase creates the draw and bracket for that selected team.
• If it is not ticked, BowlsBase locks the selected (drawn) teams without creating a bracket.

When a draw exists, members can view the bracket from the Friendlies page.

Rink Bookings

Members can reserve rinks online at any time.

Simply:

• Select the date
• Choose a rink
• Select the time
• Check availability
• Reserve the rink

Existing bookings can also be viewed, edited or cancelled.

Club Calendar

The integrated calendar keeps everyone informed.

View:

• Competitions
• League matches
• Friendly fixtures
• Social events
• Club meetings
• Coaching sessions

Choose between Day, Week or Month views.

Member Directory

Need to contact another member?

The Member Directory allows you to search for club members and view any contact details they have chosen to share.

Privacy settings ensure each member controls what information is visible.

Results and Statistics

The Results section allows members to:

• View competition results
• View league results
• Search previous matches
• Filter by competition
• Filter by date

Everything is stored in one place for easy reference.

My Account

Your personal profile can be updated at any time.

You can edit:

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Mobile number

You can also choose which details other members are allowed to see.

Frequently Asked Questions

I cannot log in.

Check you are using the correct email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset option or contact your club administrator.

Can I book a rink for someone else?

Yes, if your club has enabled this feature.

Can I change my contact details?

Yes. Visit My Account and update your profile at any time.

Do I need to install any software?

No. BowlsBase works directly in your web browser.
